Cookies and local storage.

Notice version: 19 September 2026.

FuelSelect’s application does not currently set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It uses first-party browser local storage. Optional analytics storage and collection begin only after your choice.

Storage used by FuelSelect

Browser keyPurposeDuration
fuelselect_analytics_consent_v1Remembers allow/decline for basic first-party analytics.Until you change the choice or clear site data.
fuelselect_demand_consent_v1Separately remembers whether allowlisted filter combinations may be shared when filters return no results.Until you change the choice or clear site data.
fuelselect_compare_v1Keeps your selected comparison products on this device.Until cleared by you or browser site data is removed.
fuelselect_profile_v1Keeps your private product ratings and notes on this device.Until deleted on the Profile page or browser site data is removed.
fuelselect-trip-v1Keeps the current Trip Builder plan on this device.Until replaced/cleared by you or browser site data is removed.

Your choices

“No thanks” stores the refusal locally so the site does not repeatedly ask. “Allow analytics” enables limited, first-party events. The separate filter-combination checkbox is optional and unchecked by default. Search text, profile scores and notes are never included. Use the “Analytics preferences” button in the footer of any page to change your choice. Withdrawing stops future collection; it cannot remove previously collected events.

Infrastructure cookies

Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery and security. It may use strictly necessary security mechanisms when responding to abusive or suspicious traffic. FuelSelect does not use those mechanisms for advertising or to build visitor profiles. Any change that introduces non-essential cookies or similar storage must be documented and consented to before it is enabled.

How to clear local data

You can delete Profile data from My Fuel Profile, clear comparison and trip data in their tools, or remove all FuelSelect site data in your browser settings. Clearing site data also removes your saved consent choice, so the site may ask again.

For the personal-data purposes and retention rules connected to analytics, email and feedback, read the privacy notice.
